Difference Between Single Beam, Hi/Low and Bi-Xenon HID

Difference Between Single Beam, Hi/Low and Bi-Xenon HID

Single Beam HID (aka -1 Type)
Single Beam Bulb
Replace Bulb Type:
9007-1/880/881/893/D2C/R/S, etc.

Most cars use the standard single bulb design. If you car use one bulb to give High beam and another bulb to give Low beam, that means you current bulb is Single beam model.

The bulb should be one of these types: H1/H3/H4-1(HB2)/H7/H11/9004-1/9005(HB3)/9006(HB4)/9007-1/880/881/893/D2C/R/S.

You should buy the HID KIT accordding to your current bulb types. They can be installed in your Low, High, Fog, or any housing that will accept this bulb type.

While, single beam hid kit, one hid kit can give you only High Or Low, if you want both, you have to buy 2 sets.

Bi-Xenon HID (aka -3 Type)
Bi-Xenon Bulb
Replace Bulb Type:

If you car use one bulb to give both High and Low beams, that means your current bulb have two filaments, or we called it Dual Beam Bulb

If you need your high beam to work properly, then you should buy a Bi-Xenon HID(our model bulb-3) which gives you both High and Low in Xenon.

This high beam will work correctly and will point where you tell it to. Bi-Xenon bulbs usually come with 3 wires per bulb. They also come with a control unit that handles the low vs high beam.Bi-Xenon bulbs can move, so you can have one bulb to give you High and Low.

The bulb is actually blocked so that the beam is directed down while in low-mode. When the car's electronics are engaged and the high beam is selected a magnet moves the bulb so that it is no longer blocked and you get "high" beam.

The BiXenon bulbs are only available in: H4, H13, 9004 and 9007 bulb types.

High/low HID (aka -2 Type)
Hi Low Bulb
Replace Bulb Type:

However, if your car uses a 9004, 9007, H4 or H13 bulb, then you have another choices:
It is to use a High/Low Bulb (our model bulb-2). The bulbs comes with one primary Xenon bulb and one Halogen bulb. The Halogen bulb is used for your high beam only and is only used where the state requires a high beam to pass inspection. Nothing more.

the High portion of the High/Low bulb is NOT used for high beam driving as it will never point straight ahead. Its just for passing inspection.

These bulbs come with 3-4 wires, 2 for each bulb. it maybe necessary to splice the Halogen wires so that you get power to the high beam.
High/Low bulbs come in H4, H13, 9004, 9007. They are just not produced in any other bulb type.
